I had been in my bedroom (doors closed) so I didn't hear any of their noise. They busted open my front-door (see photo). It was a huge destructive entry into my apartment. They saw me, said they were trying to investigate the smell coming out of my apartment (i.e. a box of old salad I had put near the front door so that I would remember to throw out the next day). They informed me of that and then simply left. Yuck! :-(

Think-of-It: A box of old salad sitting by the front door -- reason to call the police?
P.S. First, think about it: this was in no sense an emergency! Second, there are numerous methods of communication including phone, email, online personal accounts -- So many! You don't have to bang down someone's front door -- simply because you haven't tried any of these obvious methods ... :-(
Update: Just got word that they can't make it today ... Think about that (been waiting since 9am) ... :-(
